About Bramblewick House

We moved to Drumlish, County Longford back in 2016, after inheriting the property from family. We sold up our home in the UK and decided to start a new life in Ireland and have an adventure for ourselves.

It has always been a dream of ours to, one day, start a home business around our love for crafts, from crochet to homemade soaps and bracelets to Craig’s love for bee keeping and homemade beer, we will try anything, we absolutely love it.

After inheriting this property from my father, in the lovely Longford Country side, it was a perfect oppertunity for us to do what we always dreamed of.

About Our Story

In the summer of 2016, we took the plunge and moved lock stock and Splodge Cat to the emerald isle.

As we moved we realised that we could expand this business and include accommodation, although the house was not big enough to accommodate guests, we happened upon the idea of glamping.

It seemed like a very unique and trendy way for us to add accommodation and it is growing extremely fast as a choice for guests.

After some research we found a company in County Cork who manufactured Sheperd’s Huts and we were sold on them as soon as we saw them, they are compact but suprisingly comfortable with a great selection of “Mod Cons” including Underfloor heating, Full shower, Double Bed and even a kitchen.

After many months of waiting patiently we now have on site “The Little Blue Sheep Hut” and “The Little Yellow Chicken hut” available to receive guests.

It has been only a short journey, so far, about 18 months and we already have our Glamping Experience up and running just in time for the 2018 season.

Our handmade crafts are well established and the range is ever expanding, we have even set up our stall on the local craft market circuit around the midlands of Ireland.

The next 2 years will see us develop our brand even further, starting with the launch of our online website, blog and shop.

We also have a Splodge Cat
