About Bramblewick House

We moved to Drumlish, County Longford back in 2016, after inheriting the property from family. We sold up our home in the UK and decided to start a new life in Ireland and have an adventure for ourselves.

It has always been a dream of ours to, one day, start a home business around our love for crafts, Craig’s love for bee keeping and homemade beer. We will try anything.

After inheriting this property from my father in the lovely Longford countryside it was the perfect opportunity for us to do what we had always dreamed of doing.

About our Story

In the summer of 2016, we took the plunge and moved lock stock and Splodge Cat to the emerald isle.

After we moved we decided that we wanted to expand this business and include accommodation. However, the house was not big enough to accommodate guests.  Then we happened upon the idea of glamping.

It seemed like a very unique and trendy way for us to add accommodation and it is growing extremely fast as a choice for guests.

After some research we found a company in County Cork who manufacture Shepherd’s Huts and we were sold on them as soon as we saw them. They are compact but surprisingly comfortable with a great selection of “Mod Cons” including heating, full shower, double bed and even a kitchen.

After many months of waiting patiently we now have on site “The Little Blue Sheep Hut” and “The Little Yellow Chicken hut” available to receive guests.

Our handmade crafts are well established and the range is ever expanding, we have even set up our stall on the local craft market circuit around the midlands of Ireland.

We also have a Splodge Cat
